Alexandra “Alex” Murphy, LPC, PMH-C

Therapy is a journey, much like climbing a mountain. At the start, the summit may seem distant, and the steps may feel small or insignificant. It’s easy to get caught up in how far you have left to go, but I remind my clients that even a short distance up, the view is already so much clearer than it was at the bottom. Each step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to a new perspective. By seeking therapy, you’ve already taken that first important step on your path up the mountain.

I specialize in trauma for clients between the ages of 14 and 65, perinatal mental health and men’s mental health. At the core of my work is a deep commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where people can heal, grow, and reconnect with their sense of self and well-being. My dog, Oliver, often joins me in the therapy room in order to help create a more comfortable environment.

My approach blends EMDR, trauma-informed care, and a strong understanding of emotional and psychological transitions. Additionally, I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification, allowing me to support individuals and families navigating the unique challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.
