Our Therapists

Alexandra “Alex” Murphy, MA, APC

As a therapist, I believe in working alongside my clients in order to facilitate healing and growth. You are the expert on your own life and I believe in honoring your experiences with respect. In therapy, I work to create a safe and brave space for my clients and believe that therapy is a team effort. By searching for a therapist you’ve already taken a big step in your journey. I work with adolescents and adults from the ages of 13-65 with a focus on trauma processing, EMDR, and perinatal issues.

I graduated from the University of Denver with a Masters in International Disaster Psychology. During the program, I worked with adolescents, adults, and couples in a multitude of settings including inpatient, outpatient and home visits. I was also involved in research on a perinatal trauma project and a traumatic brain injury project. I am under supervision with Lauren Dack, LPC. In my spare time, I like to watch movies, read science fiction novels, and spend time outside.

My fee is $125 per 50 minute hour. I am not taking insurance at this time. I offer a sliding-scale if warranted, and Healing Path Therapy is happy to supply an invoice or Superbill for out-of-network submission to your insurance plan.

If this sounds like it could be a good fit for you, feel free to give me a call for a quick consultation at 781-469-1507. I look forward to speaking with you.

Edward “Andy” Anderson, LPC

I bring a sense of ease to a difficult and rewarding process. I do my best to bring this quality to all of my work with clients, whether we are outlining goals or stretching into some strong and old emotions. I have learned that therapy unfolds over time and that much of the art of it is to know when to focus on thoughts, emotions or behaviors. I create the space and help facilitate the work that you are ready to do, when you are ready to do it.

It isn't easy for most of us to pick up the phone and make the call to get help. It usually takes something or some things getting pretty bad for us to do so. Often, the first sessions are spent on what brings you in and how to reduce the impact of it. After that there are myriad possibilities! That's why it is good to have someone with 16 years of experience and a continuously high volume caseload; I have learned more from my hundreds of clients than all of my extensive schooling, training and reading put together. I find enjoyment in joining with your journey for this time that we share, and I remain curious about the uniqueness of your healing path.
