<image:caption>Therapy is a journey, much like climbing a mountain. At the start, the summit may seem distant, and the steps may feel small or insignificant. It’s easy to get caught up in how far you have left to go, but I remind my clients that even a short distance up, the view is already so much clearer than it was at the bottom. Each step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to a new perspective. By seeking therapy, you’ve already taken that first important step on your path up the mountain. I specialize in trauma for clients between the ages of 14 and 65, perinatal mental health and men’s mental health. At the core of my work is a deep commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where people can heal, grow, and reconnect with their sense of self and well-being. My dog, Oliver, often joins me in the therapy room in order to help create a more comfortable environment. My approach blends EMDR, trauma-informed care, and a strong understanding of emotional and psychological transitions. Additionally, I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification, allowing me to support individuals and families navigating the unique challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. I am in network with United Health Care, and we are happy to submit to insurance for you. Call me with questions or to set up an appointment at 781-469-1507.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal and pivotal step toward the changes you’re seeking. You’ve likely been preparing for this moment, reflecting on the shifts you want to make and wondering who can guide you through them. With so many therapists out there, finding the right fit is key—not every therapist will be the perfect match, and that’s okay. I recommend meeting with at least three to five therapists in person or virtually to find someone who feels right for you. Trust your instincts, and don’t settle for convenience alone. Why I Do This Work For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated myself to creating a safe, welcoming space where you can bring all of who you are—your emotions, thoughts, and experiences—without judgment. My greatest joy comes from seeing clients grow, heal, and find courage through our work together. Many of my referrals come from current or former clients who’ve sat in my office, shared their deepest struggles, and felt the transformative power of therapy. When they tell someone, “You should see my therapist,” it’s a testament to the trust we’ve built and the impact of our time together. I’m equally honored by referrals from my peers. After 14 years in the Atlanta area, following my move from Denver, I’ve built strong connections with fellow therapists through trainings, conferences, and shared professional experiences. Their trust in referring clients to me is a source of pride and a reflection of my commitment to this craft. Increasingly, I’ve also had the privilege of supporting therapists and their spouses, which feels like a meaningful endorsement from those who understand the work deeply. My Approach My approach is rooted in empathy, humility, and a commitment to lifelong learning. I draw on advanced training in modalities like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which are particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Inspired by leaders in the field like Bessel van der Kolk, whose work in trauma (notably The Body Keeps the Score) underscores the mind-body connection, I strive to tailor therapy to your unique needs. Whether it’s reprocessing past pain with EMDR or rebuilding connection through EFT, my goal is to honor your courage and celebrate your growth. I’m not here to offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where your story is heard, your emotions are validated, and your goals guide our work. I continually pursue advanced training and consultation to refine my skills, ensuring I bring both expertise and introspection to every session. Like van der Kolk reflecting on how he might have used EMDR with a past client, I approach my work with humility, always seeking the best path to support your healing. Let’s Connect I’d love to learn about your journey and explore how I can support you. Whether you’re ready to start therapy or just want to talk through your options, I offer initial consultations in person or virtually. Call me at 770-827-0533 to schedule a conversation and take the next step toward the changes you’re seeking. I’m here to walk with you on your healing path.</image:caption>

<image:caption>As a therapist, I believe in working alongside my clients in order to facilitate healing and growth. You are the expert on your own life and I believe in honoring your experiences with respect. In therapy, I work to create a safe and brave space for my clients and believe that therapy is a team effort. By searching for a therapist you’ve already taken a big step in your journey. I work with adolescents and adults from the ages of 13-65 with a focus on trauma processing, EMDR, and perinatal issues. I graduated from the University of Denver with a Masters in International Disaster Psychology. During the program, I worked with adolescents, adults, and couples in a multitude of settings including inpatient, outpatient and home visits. I was also involved in research on a perinatal trauma project and a traumatic brain injury project. I am under supervision with Lauren Dack, LPC. In my spare time, I like to watch movies, read science fiction novels, and spend time outside. My fee is $125 per 50 minute hour. I am not taking insurance at this time. I offer a sliding-scale if warranted, and Healing Path Therapy is happy to supply an invoice or Superbill for out-of-network submission to your insurance plan. If this sounds like it could be a good fit for you, feel free to give me a call for a quick consultation at 781-469-1507. I look forward to speaking with you.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I bring a sense of ease to a difficult and rewarding process. I do my best to bring this quality to all of my work with clients, whether we are outlining goals or stretching into some strong and old emotions. I have learned that therapy unfolds over time and that much of the art of it is to know when to focus on thoughts, emotions or behaviors. I create the space and help facilitate the work that you are ready to do, when you are ready to do it. It isn't easy for most of us to pick up the phone and make the call to get help. It usually takes something or some things getting pretty bad for us to do so. Often, the first sessions are spent on what brings you in and how to reduce the impact of it. After that there are myriad possibilities! That's why it is good to have someone with 16 years of experience and a continuously high volume caseload; I have learned more from my hundreds of clients than all of my extensive schooling, training and reading put together. I find enjoyment in joining with your journey for this time that we share, and I remain curious about the uniqueness of your healing path.</image:caption>
